Creating Heart Pillows for the Girl Scout Gold Award by Katie Ridder

I am a Girl Scout Ambassador, and a rising Senior at Conestoga High School. This year I am earning the Girl Scout Gold Award, an 80-hour service project that must have a lasting impact beyond my immediate community; it is the highest honor a Girl Scout can earn. Congratulations Class of 2019!

Congratulations Class of 2019!

This may sound crazy, but I feel like a proud parent every graduation season. We lost her late in pregnancy so there was a week from when we found out she was no longer living to the day that she was taken from...

For those that have not recently guided a budding adult through this time, here are a few things to think about the next time you encounter a high school senior and strike up a conversation. Remember that the world is full of possibilities and no two life paths are ever alike. There are kids who know what they want to study and where they are going to school before Christmas of senior year, but this is not the norm. College is getting harder...
