Hockey Jersey Memory Blankets are so fun to make. Hockey jerseys have so many interesting design elements to work with. The sleeves have logo patches and numbers, they are longer than most jerseys and often have stripes and patterns in the team colors along the bottom, and they almost always have your name stitched on the back.
I have so much respect for hockey families. Early morning and late night games and practices, sitting in a cold rink for hours, and lots of travel are not for the faint of heart.
Not only that, but hockey is a LONG season. The wonderful thing about all this is that friends become family and families get to spend a lot of time together. Time spent with your kids watching them do what they love is priceless!
I honestly think hockey is more of a way of life than a sport. I even have a friend who built a hockey rink in their backyard. I have never seen someone so excited for an extended period of sub-freezing temps!
So save those jerseys and let me know when you are ready to turn them into your comfy, cozy hockey story.

Fantastic! I’ve been asked to make a quilt from my nephew’s hockey uniforms. Do you have there tips/advice to share regarding the fabric usage? Should it be stabilized? Does it fray or snag easily? Recommendations for the back? (or are there so many uniforms of various sizes that it’s two-sided?). Thanks.
Good morning.
My son played hockey his entire life, and the last few years he’s been over 6’ tall, so I have some varied sized (some very large) hockey jerseys I would like to make into a quilt. I might actually make two, one for his grandfather as well.
I have some questions….first, can you do a custom blanket/quilt with the heavy hockey jersey material; second, can I pay you to do the cutting to make sure I don’t screw it up; three, where applicable can some of the sleeves be incorporated in the design?
I also have some baby clothes that I would like to make into a blanket while keeping the integrity of some of the outfits (I don’t want just pieces of fabric) I was thinking more like having squares designed and then sewing the clothes onto the squares (if that makes sense). So if you have ideas about how your team might be able to handle that type of design please let me know as I have two sets of baby clothes I need to make into two quilts/blankets so I’m open to ideas.
Your help is appreciated. Thank you.

Do you do a plush blanket for football jerseys?
